“Her Face Among The Shadows” is the third
release of Objekt 4 I get to listen to and I honestly have to
say: Anders Peterson did it again!
After listening to
“World Of Ruin” I was already enthusiastic about this guy. The
following “Extermination Processing Tower” I appreciated as
well. With this last release I did have a little more trouble
however and that was mainly because of the experimenting with
sound explosions and beats. But what a surprise it was to hear
that it is exactly the beats that are well done on “Her Face
Among The Shadows”.
Opening tune ‘Seclusion’ has a loungy
touch to it with the soft sounds and relaxed mood. The
following track ‘Among The Shadows’ is a perfect Objekt 4
ambienttrack. The surprises start in the third song.
Delightful beats, and not the noisy kind, but more in the IDM
style. Also the next track knows some fun fiddling about with
rhythms.
After that Objekt 4 presents us
with four tracks in the style that he knows best: beautiful,
spherical soundscapes. These last four tracks are all made in
2005 and 2006 and I do appreciate it that mister Peterson
seems to focus more on these moody, well-performed
soundscapes.
